Layer on up! Constructed from a dazzling array of translucent glass beads, these durable beauties are perfect for no fuss dressing (especially for those of us who have trouble with clasps!) Just roll 'em on, and you're good to go with pizazz to spare: one roll-on bracelet is a study in simplicity, three+ roll-ons are a masterpiece. Roll-ons are one of the favorite bracelets of the fashionista-on-the-go.
Founded in 1993 by former Peace Corp volunteer and teacher Damian Jones, Aid Through Trade works with Nepalese women to create beautiful jewelry and a much-needed source of income. While serving in Nepal, Damian was inspired by the use of glass beads, especially by the artisans of the Kathmandu Valley. In 1994 Aid Through Trade became a founding member of the Fair Trade Federation, realizing Damian’s vision of “fair trade” as a path toward sustainable economic development for artisans.
Aid Through Trade pays its artisans a living wage, ensures safe and healthy working conditions (no child labor allowed), provides a daily meal for artisans working in “the office,” not to mention retirement funds and health care benefits (including eye care and yoga).
Continually working to limit its environmental footprint, Aid Through Trade uses electricity generated from wind farms, recycled paper exclusively and sparingly, low wattage fluorescent lighting and turns off the AC when its folks go home at the end of the day.Measurements: 7" L x 1.5" W (one size fits most)
